Traveling El Camino Real – the Royal Road – from Mexico City to San Juan Pueblo, Spanish explorers planted grape seeds, making our fertile Mesilla Valley the oldest wine-growing region in the United States. Today, this historic highway winds its way through rich farmland, horse country and vast pecan orchards.

Amaro Winery – Located near the historic Alameda District, Amaro is a locally-owned family winery, producing award-winning wines made from high quality New Mexico grapes.

Fort Seldon Winery – Adjacent to the historic Fort Selden ruins, the winery is family-owned and features both a vineyard and tasting room.

Heart of the Desert Winery – Located off the Historic Mesilla plaza, it features wine produced at the Eagle Ranch Winery, from State Fair winners to their whimsical pistachio wine.

La Vina Winery – Home to the state’s oldest wine festival, this family owned and operated winery is also the oldest in New Mexico. It is located along scenic Highway 28 in the heart of the beautiful Mesilla Valley.

Luna Rossa Winery – Indulge in one of their many award-winning blends while enjoying hand-rolled crust pizzas cooked in a brick oven, or treat yourself to homemade gelato.

Rio Grande Vineyard and Winery – A family-owned winery with an amazing view of the Organ Mountains and a vast selection of wines made and aged on-site.

Sombra Antigua Winery – Built among the vines of New Mexico’s oldest commercial vineyard, it is a family-owned winery offering a variety of wines and live entertainment.

Vintage Wines – Besides serving their own Black Range label, the tasting room located in a small adobe building in Historic Mesilla offers over 50 wines featuring the best of southern New Mexico as well as other regions in the state.

Zin Valle Vineyards – Located on scenic Highway 28, the vineyard produces all their wines onsite, specially blended with grapes from the Mesilla Valley.
