REALTORS® Care about the Community
The Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® and its members envision a community where REALTORS® are a vital part of every home’s story, were home represents joy, hope, comfort and security.
That is our vision.
To realize that vision, our REALTORS® recognize that their obligation to the community goes beyond the real estate transaction. REALTORS® also have a duty to their community through upholding high ethical and professional standards and advocating for private property and homeownership rights.
According to the Preamble to the REALTORS’s Code of Ethics, REALTORS® have a strong role in:
- creating adequate housing for all, without discrimination;
- ensuring cities function for everyone in the community;
- helping improve the economy in developing productive industries and farms;
- advocating for the preservation of a healthy environment.
To that end, both through activities organized by GAAR and individually, REALTORS® give back by becoming elected public officials, by advocating home ownership rights on a local and national level, and by give back to the community by fundraising and volunteering many hours to help many of our local charities.
